The presence of the castle that once belonged to the Avogadro family and was surrounded by walls is demonstrated by the perimeter of the moat, now cultivated, and especially by the main tower-door that was transformed into a bell-tower. Standing on the river and so on the boundary, the castle was the subject of raids by the Visconti in 1447, but it already existed long before since it offered shelter to Brescia’s Ghibellines in 1267.
